A weak-kneed meeting.

When I get nervous I talk a lot. So when I was standing outside the Edinburgh branch of Forbidden Planet on Sunday waiting to get my Who Killed Amanda Palmer book and CD signed by Amanda Palmer I was gibbering like a budgie. I would like to apologies now to Linda, Jennifer and Victoria who were kind enough to let me come along to the aforementioned signing with them. I would have gone anyway, but this way I had company.

We were there early and queued for about forty-five minutes outside the shop. We were quite near the front of the cue until Amanda showed up. We were instructed to come in and listened to Miss. Palmer perform a song, which was excellent. We were then told to get back outside and wait again and we ended up pretty much at the back. This had it's pros, as we got our stuff signed then stuck around and then got pictures taken with the delightful Amanda. I went rather weak-kneed when she agreed to have her picture taken with me, offered me a cookie and put her arm round my shoulders in preparation for the photo. I would have preferred it if I didn't have half a cookie stuck in the side of my mouth but you can't win them all. Here's the picture. (Thanks to Jenny for taking it!)

I didn't kill Amanda Palmer.

This is my first encounter with Amanda Palmer in six days, I'm off to the concert at the HMV Picture House this Saturday night, which will be very fun.

Come to think of it, I'm still gibbering now. The only difference is that I'm writing my gibbers down.

Here is a question for you. Can you tell me the name of the song she performed, and what movie it is from. That is your challenge if you choose to except it.

Don't know the name of it. But since you knew it and are challenging me then I'm guessing it's from a film that you've seen and I haven't. Probably The Rocky Monster Picture Show or something.
