Good afternoon, my pretties.
How are you all doing doing today? I myself am über tired due to yesterdays activities. That sounds dodgy, but as previously noted I was at LIMS (or the London International Music Show) and it was a very, very long day. The day started by leaving the house at seven in the morning heading to Edinburgh airport. All was good there, my traveling companion (code name: Dad) and I had a very bland coffee and got on the plane early. Everyone on the plane survived the flight and we got to London about ten, half an hour ahead of schedule. Due to the bastards at ExCel deciding to make that place even larger we had a bit of a walk to get there.
Once we were in and we had met up with our show companion (don't call him Matty-Bo-Bo!) I basically ran around the show like a very excitable child in a HUGE toy shop. Had a great time at the booths that were mentioned in my last blog. I listened to reps talking about the new products that their company's were offering, I asked questions about various things and hit shiny pieces of metal and nice sounding circles of wood and fiberglass with a stick. I even contemplated some theft, small things at first then a big things in the shape of a massive drum kit. I got three things; some EQ patches for my kick drum trigger, a DVD and a rather fancy wee piece of software.
After a slightly late lunch of Chinese food we all attended the Sound On Sound seminar. It was just a simple Q&A deal, but I think everyone in the room came away with a couple of ideas. Shortly after that the show closed, so we went to hang around London City Airport for ages. Fortunately I had about ten catalogs to read my way through. The plane did leave on time, despite us thinking that there was no way in hell it would and we were back here for about half ten.
That was pretty much my day. I could mention how tired my legs were, how much I hate flying and how I broke my trade table and the toilet on the plane, but they aren't tales worth telling.
Hope everyone has a good remainder of their day and I shall be back soon.
Tatty-bye!
