In order to mix this up a bit I thought I would pop an email up here that I wrote to a website that I don't like much. I have mentioned it before, but I won't name it here. Here is the mail, it's really rather obvious what I'm complaining about. I believe a friend of mine sent a very similar email to the same website.
Dear Sir/Madam,
Why is it when you reference England on your website you use the Union Flag, yet when you reference Scotland you use Saltire?
The Union Flag represents Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) and Northern Ireland, not England. The English has their own, individual flag in the form of the St. George's Cross.
I can fully understand using the Union Flag for a story which full represents the U.K, a new law or something like that. But using the Union Flag for some nosebleed story about some fat, little dog in Kent is just stupid and annoying.
I know you will ignore this, but I feel better for pointing out the inaccuracies and errors on your website.
So that's that. As per usual I couldn't think of a good way to end it. It doesn't matter anyway, because I didn't send it. I probably sobered up or something.
