My last blog title should have been London Calling, I should think about things more.

Since the iPlayer’s being a temperamental bitch I thought I would write something about London.

It’s a busy place. That’s about it.

Only joking! I arrived at about four and killed three hours by plodding around Kings Cross and heading out to Covent Garden for a gentle wander. I ended up watching a guy wearing only skin-tight lycra pants on a unicycle juggling knives. Back at Kings Cross I met up with Pam, we headed back to her place (via a curry house) and just watched Family Guy and listened to music.

Saturday we went to the London Dungeon, Borough Market and the London Transport Museum; all of which were incredibly good fun. The only downside was that we did get wet going between them due to rain. And Saturday night we ended up in a pub.

Sunday morning we stayed in the flat while various people came round to gaze into rooms then we headed out. I can’t really remember what the place was called, I want to say Pudding Lane, but that a series of children's books. Let’s just call it Nocashmachine Road. We had a slow wander up Nocashmachine Road pausing only for food in a weird little clothes shop/cafe hybrid. And very nice it was too. We then headed out to another place that I can’t remember the name of. It’s a big new shopping center which I will call Toomanypeople Mall. I’m really on top of the facts today. Looked round Toomanypeople Mall for a bit, bought some stuff in HMV and then went to the O2 Bubble (not what was the Millennium Dome, another O2-affiliated place) for dinner and to see The Quantum Of Solace. I still don’t fully understand the title, but I enjoyed the film. James Bond seems to be putting his slightly unrealistic trousers back on which were taken off for Casino Royale. I’m hopeful for a couple of gadgets and maybe some saucy quips in the next one.

And on Monday I came home, stopping in Edinburgh for a few pints with the ever-adorable and manly Stuart.

That was pretty much my weekend. If you think I didn’t do much then that’s because I have decided to not write about train/underground journeys, which seemed to dominate most of the weekend. But thanks to my brother I was able to do a lot of line jumping, so that’s always good. Oh, and I didn't get shot, stabbed or blown up. Good times.

And, to any Family Guy fans who may be watching; doesn’t this look interesting?

Is it sad that I would watch the Cleveland Show?

Not at all, I'm going to watch it.

Are you sure you aren't thinking of Puddle Lane (which was a TV series too)?

And Pudding Lane is a real place - it's where the great fire of London started.

I think you meant to say Brick Lane which is near where Jack the Ripper and the Cray Twins used to hang out. But not at the same time.
