Tomorrow I head off for the big smoke, London Town. I’m really looking forward to it, but I’m a bit wary in case I get stabbed/shot/blown up/all of these. None will happen, but I do suffer from an overactive imagination.
So, I arrive at about four (15:59 to be exact) and have to kill two and three quarter hours until I meet up with my friend and head back to hers for a night of spicy food and animation and video game madness. The two and three quarter hours is worrying me. Along with my overactive imagination I suffer from a lack of direction which will mean I will get lost. I have been forward thinking and I have bought a map book but as soon as I get that out a group of scary southerners will spot me and possibly stab me/shoot me/blow me up/all of these.
Looking at my map just now there will be enough to keep me entertained without straying too far from Kings Cross Station. The British Library for example, The Treehouse School sounds fun although it probably isn’t what I think it is. Or, there’s always the London Canal Museum, but due to another trip I made earlier this year I think I have done enough Canals. I would like to visit Chalk Farm to see if it is where chalk is farmed and Mount Pleasant sounds delightful.
I know that I will go to none of these places and instead find many coffee shops to spend time in, meaning that by quarter to seven (which is when I meet my friend) I will need to be scraped from the roof of the train station.
I’ll be twittering (tweeting?) while I’m away. So be sure to check at the side of this page if anyone cares what my movements are.
