Yesterday Lorna signed us both up for an archery lesson. I was rather looking forward to it until it was rained off and I got very very wet.
Today is just a chill out day. What with a eight to ten hour drive tomorrow, neither Lorna or myself want to do anything stressful, other than packing of course. The good thing about being out and about yesterday was that we found out a bridge in Bordeaux is shut. Unfortunately it’s the bridge we wanted to get over, so we need to go on a bit of a detour through the centre of town. It may be a laugh.
I always like the last day of a holiday. We have to eat all the food that we’ve bought and not eaten. I’ve just had some lovely pate and half a big bag of crisps and a couple of glasses of Pimms. Hey, I’m on holiday!
Tomorrow evening’s stopover is at Lorna’s friends house just near the Swiss border and then back to the house on Sunday.
Next week I must remember one thing. It will not take me three days to pack.
