France - Part Five. ‘Sand and my hatred of it.’

Yesterday was the nicest day that we’ve had here and we spent the morning on the beach. Now, I don’t like sand. I don’t make any secret of this fact. It gets everywhere and is damn near impossible to get off/out of things. So I didn’t have a great time; well, I did sort of. I made an accurate representation of a hill or mountain somewhere at some time. After a bite of lunch we headed back here to the pool and lounged around the complex for a bit.

Today we headed about an hour out of the way to a big park for Catriona to have fun at. Surprise, surprise, it was shut. So we headed instead to Bordeaux where I finally found a hat. Good times. We looked through various shops and had fun. Then we bought more wine. That brings my total tally up to ten bottles of red and one bottle of rose.

Tomorrow I get handed a deadly weapon. More on that later...
