Disney Films are great. They’ve made some classics like Snow White, Cinderella, Lady And The Tramp and – my personal favourite – Basil The Great Mouse Detective. In modern days you’ve got Aladdin and The Lion King. I can’t really comment on Mulan or Pocahontas as I haven’t seen them. And of course all the Pixar films (again, I haven’t seen Cars, it doesn’t look as good as the rest).
But I have to wonder what’s going on in the collective heads of Disney. They recently brought out the Aladdin Trilogy Box Set. I’m sure there are people that won’t know that there are three Aladdin films, they’re all very good, be sure to check them out.
Anyway, one of the ‘Coming Soon’ adverts on the Aladdin Trilogy Box Set is for the Aladdin Trilogy Box Set. Why advertise something that you’ve clearly bought? It just bugs me.
Another thing that bugs me about buying DVDs is this. I don’t download films. I go to shops or internet stores like Amazon and buy DVDs. I go home, put the disc in the machine and what’s the first thing I get? An advert telling me not to illegally download films. I DON’T! I’ve just legitimately bought this film! Grr…
The reason for this blog is because I’m trying to decide what to watch today while I’m doing the ironing today. I’m thinking the third Pirates Of The Caribbean film; honestly, it’s like Lorna looked at my Amazon wishlist and bought every DVD on it before I came here.
Apart from Dirty Dancing, I have no wish to watch that.
