On Saturday I headed to Dunblane to spend the night at my Aunt and Uncle’s house so I could take their Granddaughter (also known as ‘my charge’) back home on Sunday, which I did with no problem.
Obviously there was no problem, we were dropped off at Edinburgh Airport by my Aunt and Uncle and picked up in Geneva by my cousin, so there wasn’t much space for anything to anything to go wrong.
The way that I’m looking at things is the last two months has been warm-up for the coming two months. After the crèche has a little summer break Catriona goes to school for three mornings a week (I think it’s three days a week anyway) and crèche one day a week, so that could be good fun. Of course she has her Dad’s wedding in Amsterdam before that.
Now that I’m back I have no firm plans to go back to Scotland now and that’s going to make it feel like a long couple of months. Ever since I came here I have never been longer than roughly three weeks away from a trip home and that was pretty nice. I miss Scotland and obviously my family and friends.
But I always have my little trip to Holland to look forward. As well as Davos in a couple of weeks and a trip to France at the start of September; on my birthday no less, which will be interesting. On my birthday I’ll be pretty unreachable.
And - dear God - it's amazingly hot over here! And it's muggy too. There was thunder last night but no rain.
Fun fun fun!
