“I got the idea when I noticed the refrigerator was cold.”

There’s an episode of The Simpsons called Bart Of Darkness; it’s the first episode in series six and the episode is based on Alfred Hitchcock’s film Rear Window. Anyway, I digress. The start of that episode shows Springfield in the grip of a massive heat wave and, since the Simpsons don’t have air conditioning, they are sitting dying in the heat. Their all just sitting around in their underwear looking miserable.

That’s pretty much how I feel just now.
