AFP

Exciting few weeks coming up. Off to see Amanda Palmer on the 22nd in Edinburgh, but six days before that she's doing a book signing in Edinburgh's Forbidden Planet. I didn't actually know there was a Forbidden Planet in Edinburgh.

The book she's signing is a book of photography and short stories Called Who Killed Amanda Palmer. The photographs are taken by various people and all feature Palmer posing dead in a number of various positions. It sounds dark and it is, but some of the pictures are really very beautiful and or funny. The short stories are written by Amanda's boyfriend/partner-person Neil Gaiman. I must admit that I'm nervous about going to get the book signed. I'm not good around people that I deem amazing and have decided that the best thing that I could possibly do is to simply keep my mouth shut. Otherwise I blurt out 'I bloody love you' or something similar. I wonder if she would sign my copy of her solo CD while she's at it...

And then, the following Saturday, the gig itself. I'm going with some people who I don't think have ever been to a stand-up rock gig before, so that'll be fun!

Right, I must go and look up some bus times for next week. I shall let you know how the meeting goes and how much of a pillock I make of myself.
