I have about three or four half-written blogs on a computer which I frankly can’t be bothered going to switch on (it’s a PC; it takes about four days to start up) so here’s a more modern version of a blog I wrote some time ago. If anyone out there is bored - and, hey, you must be; you’re reading this - then here are some cool websites I recommend.
Superusless Superpowers.
This is a great wee blog. All the superpowers that the characters have in comics are amazing, but what about superpowers that have no benefit in any way? This websites speculates on what they would be and why they are super-useless. The illustrations just add to the humour. My personal favorites are short-range teleportation (teleporting is cool, but wouldn’t it suck if you could only transport yourself one inch in any given direction?) and 13th Bullet Bulletproof (you are only bulletproof for the 13th bullet to hit you).
The Awesomer.
Gives information on loads of brilliant things like cars, video games, action figures, film trailers, watches and websites. Really just anything that the designers find awesome. Embrace your inner geek and check it out.
I'd Like To Have Been In That Meeting.
I'd Like To Have Been In That Meeting is a series of little films taking the pee out of certain aspects of pop culture. In the one linked above they have a go at J.K. Rowling’s writing style. They also take the mickey out of the Lost them tune (Ha!) too.
Zero Punctuation. Again.
Do you like video games? Do you like to watch video game reviews? Do you like to watch video game reviews reviewed by a man that has lost pretty much all faith in humanity and talks and swears very quickly into a headphone mic about the game that he’s supposed to be reviewing? Do you like to watch video game reviews and seeing no clips from any of the games being reviewed? Well, check out the link above then! It takes you to his Grand Theft Auto IV review.
There you go, that should kill about twenty minutes. Enjoy!
