My Weekend and goodbye to the Swiss.

Friday was a holiday around Fribourg so we headed to Ikea in Lassagne. It was mobbed. Absolutely mobbed. Took me forty-five minutes to get my meatballs! We also walked around the outlet-store-thing where I completely failed to find a hat (as previously noted). We had a leisurely drive back up and just chilled out in the evening.

On Saturday morning Lorna went for a run in the morning and the plan was to head to Murten, catch the ferry across Lake Neuchâtel and cycle back to the car. What we ended up doing was cycling round to the ferry port and then waiting on the ferry to go back to the car. We didn’t actually catch the ferry back as we figured out we could cycle back before the ferry would even arrive. However, on the way back, my bike decided to explode. Well the chain fell off and wrapped around its self, causing a horrible mess that tore my fingers to bits trying to mend. Fortunately there was a lovely chap who invited us into his house to wash up after the chain was back on. There was a lot of 'tentative' gear changing after that.

And today is a chillout day.

Changing the subject only slightly I leave Switzerland on the 21st of September, or five weeks today. I’m going to be sad to leave but I think it’s the right time to go. Besides, I have plenty to occupy me until then. Catriona starts school soon. And there’s St. Moritz next weekend and France in three weeks.

So this is my second-last full weekend in Belfaux. And that feels odd.

I still haven't really worked out how to end these blogs properly. I should do something more than just say 'Bye!' or 'Take it easy...'. Hey, at least I don't stop in mid sen
