Train Woes.

On Tuesday I went to Neuchâtel (three weeks after I had planned to) and had a pretty good time. Neuchâtel is absolutely lovely and I thoroughly recommend a visit if your in the area. Only three things hampered my day:
- I forgot to charge my camcorder. A great start to this whole video log idea.
- My amazing ‘Go Anywhere’ ticket isn’t valid anymore and I got fined 80 Francs.
- I was nearly pushed into Lake Neuchâtel by some fat bloke who wasn’t paying attention.

The thing that I really like about Neuchâtel is that the trams peep, so you hear them coming. Unlike the Death-Ville that is Berne. There is also a film festival happening in both Neuchâtel and Murten (which is at the other side of the Lake, where we go swimming), so I may try and pop along to that. I still really want to see The Dark Knight when it comes out.

The ticket thing is a pretty long story. Basically – at the start of May – Lorna and I headed to Fribourg train station handed an application form in, Lorna paid for the first month of the ticket and we never heard anything back. Reason being the application form never left the station. So I no longer have my amazing ticket, but that’s cool because I’ve gone pretty much everywhere I want to go anyway, apart from Davos (where I’ll be going in three weeks) Geneva and Zurich. But I’m happy to pay for tickets to get there.

I’m sure that I will be adding the Neuchâtel pics to my Flickr page soon. But I’m reluctant to upload them as I don’t want to chew up Lorna’s bandwidth.
