Hey, wait a minute...

You know if it weren’t for all the flags flying from buildings and cars, everyone wearing football shirts, nearly all shops selling related merchandise, big screens in city squares, Mars Bar changing the name of their product for the event, bunting hanging around most towns, the amazing increase of people on the railways and the country in general and all the TV coverage you would never know that Euro 2008 starts tomorrow.

It will be interesting to see how much of this stuff vanishes when/if Switzerland gets knocked out of the competition. Too bad I won't be here.

Do you remember when Mars bars were temporarily re-branded "Believe" during the last World Cup?

Yeah, they're re-branded as 'Hopp' (obviously 'Hope') here at the moment. I had one today.
